Per Gamespot.com, Overwatch Season 2 has officially begun. Players for the game can now begin playing new placement matches to see how they will stand in Season 2. A new patch has also been updated that adds the Eichenwalde castle map. It was previously available to players in PTR. One big change with the latest update, however, is the removal of Sudden Death. Overwatch games now reportedly end without a win or a loss. Other changes have been made that will also apparently lower the chance of a draw happening in a match. Speaking on the issue, principal designer previously Scott Mercer commented in July: "We definitely want players to feel like if they had a tie, their time wasn't completely waste. So we're trying to find the sweet spot of a lot of players feel like, 'Oh, well, we got something out of it,' but at the same time not create situations where players might collude and create some nasty situations there. We're still discussing that." Season 2 also features new skill tiers to showcase player skill levels. These will be displayed throughout the game. The skill rating system ranks from 1-5000 scale. It will tell more about players' level of skills. There's also leaver penalties, the top 500 system and the competitive point system. On top of that, the new Season 2 patch also features new Reinhardt skins. Eichenwalde is an Assault/Escort map with a mountain village and a neighboring castle. Overwatch is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
