Default Titanfall 2 Will Have a Multiplayer Beta

Respawn Entertainment and EA have officially announced that there will be an open multiplayer Beta or technical test for Titanfall 2. In addition a new multiplayer video, with new gameplay footage, for the technical test was released online. You can check out that video at this link.

The multiplayer Beta session will be available to players on two weekends later this month for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The beta officially kicks off on Friday, August 19. For the sake of the beta, players will have access to two new Titans, two gameplay modes and two maps on the first weekend.

This definitely seems like a good move to give players an opportunity to play the game and try things out before it launches this fall. Hopefully, other publishers and developers will follow suit with similar open beta sessions for gamers for big releases so people have an opportunity to try out what they are expected to invest so much money in.

Titanfall 2 arrives on October 28 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC via Origin. Here's an official synopsis for the upcoming game:

Quote:
Titanfall 2 is crafted by one of the co-creators of Call of Duty and other key designers behind the Call of Duty franchise, and is set to build on the foundation Respawn established with the first Titanfall fast, fluid, fun gameplay between Pilots and Titans. Titanfall 2 will also mark the debut of a crafted single player experience that explores the unique bond between man and machine. Playable offline, the single player campaign in Titanfall 2 will let fans step out onto the Frontier as a Militia rifleman with aspirations of becoming an elite Pilot. Stranded behind enemy lines and facing overwhelming odds, players must team up with a veteran Titan to uphold a mission they were never meant to carry out.
