According to a blog post by Bungie
, it's been revealed that Rise of Iron has been played by millions of people after launching just two days ago on Tuesday, September 20. Per the blog post:
"Millions of Guardians descended from orbit to confront their own demons. They charged up the face of Felwinter Peak to take their rightful place next to Lord Saladin. Ever since, we've seen a ton of mountaintop selfies. With wolves. We told you not to pet those wolves!"
Additionally, the blog post reveals that there are more "episodes" of the Rise of Iron adventure to come. What that could mean for Destiny remains to be seen. You can read the other statement by Bungie below:
This new adventure has begun. For many, the campaign is finished. There are now far more than one sole surviving Iron Lord. The conclusion of their story is the beginning of your story. This is when we get to stop describing that experience and start listening to your tales of honor and bravery.
There are more episodes in store for you to experience.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Additionally, players can also purchase Destiny: The Collection for both consoles. The Collection includes the base game, plus all the expansions released for the game so far for the single price of $60.
The new Raid for Rise of Iron, Warth of the Machine, goes live on Friday, September 23 at 10:00 am PST / 1:00 pm EST.
